She is an an entrepreneur with a passion in designing decent outfits that are in line with the current trends, She shares with us her story and her vision for the future.
OurSharedHope: Who is Maimuna Rabiu? How would you define yourself?
Munah Couture: Well, i would say i am a polite, straight forward and a hardworking person.
OurSharedHope: What is Munah Couture?
Munah Couture: Munah couture is a clothing line, designing modest female wears that goes in line with the current trends of the society.
OurSharedHope: Is it selling or a brand only on social media?
Munah Couture: It's selling and also an online clothing line, it's more than a brand on social media.
OurSharedHope: What fueled the creation of this brand?
Munah Couture: I have always dreamt of creating my brand, it has been my passion. The love i have for fashion designing and the income is actually encouraging (Laughs)
OurSharedHope: How do you make your clothing?
Do you buy the material and design it or do you buy an already made dress?
Munah Couture: Actually i buy the materials and design it. My clothes are all designed by me, i make them ready made by myself (smiles)
OurSharedHope: Okay, now pricing, we have seen brands selling materials at an extravagant rate, how affordable are your designs?
Munah Couture: Well i would say my products are quiet affordable, considering the fact that my target market are mostly students. I sell them at affordable rates for everyone (Smiles) because what matters most is my customers gratification.
OurSharedHope: How do you balance business and education?
Munah Couture: That's what i find so challenging, it is really not easy at all (Laughs) Most times i try not to mix my education with business, there is surely time for everything. I try to manage the two in a commodious way.
OurSharedHope: Friends, do they want free materials? Do you say no?
Munah Couture: (Laughs) They definitely do. What i normally do is that i create offers/packages on my social media accounts,and processes to win them, so they participate and win intermittently.
OurSharedHope: So now how do we order your designs?
Munah Couture: I have a website www.munahscouture.ml alternatively through my social media accounts - Instagram-munah.ng and Twitter-munah98
OurSharedHope: How fast do you deliver?
Munah Couture: One week after placing orders.
OurSharedHope: So you are a tailor, do you have a shop? Where do you sit and design?
Munah Couture: No i do not have a shop at the moment but that's what we are hoping for before the end of the year. I normally sit and design at home.
OurSharedHope: Now the girl that is off social media and the internet, she can't order your clothes?
Munah Couture: Not at the moment but soon.
